The Canadian Dancesport Federation (CDF) is the premier dance organization for professionals in Canada. When the CDF Examination Department was set up in 2007, permission was given by Wayne Eng for CDF to use the syllabus by Dance Vision for American Smooth and Rhythm. It has been a great success and is used for all professional examinations and amateur student medal test examinations. CDF also has an Argentine Tango Department using the Dance Vision Syllabus, set up by two DVIDA Master Examiners. Wayne and his staff have always been available, and extremely helpful, to answer any questions that may have arisen. CDF is very happy to be connected to Dance Vision.

Greece has lead the way in social dancing since the early 80's, bringing traditional American Style into people's reality. Many studios worked hard to achieve recognition and prestige throughout the years, however the lack of a “system” in ballroom dancing stood as an obstacle to any development in dance events. A few independent studios decided to adopt a new modern system in American Style. We found Dance Vision by Wayne Eng and Ron Montez, DVIDA Master Examiner, to introduce the new syllabi. Progressing further, Wayne approved two official DVIDA examiners for Greece enabling us to introduce the Dance Vision syllabi in many other studios and to dance teachers for a better standardization and establishment from bronze to gold levels. We feel very lucky and privileged being connected with Wayne Eng and all the Dance Vision staff all these years.

In the past few years, dance teachers in Greece were seeking for a way to adopt an integrated learning system. This would allow dancers to progress in an organized and understandable mode. Since several independent dance schools decided to embrace the Dance Vision syllabus, we requested Mr. Ron Montez’s cooperation aiming to provide his knowledge and “know how”. He gave us the opportunity to taste the wonderful world of DVIDA and showed us perspectives on how to create and train dancers and teachers through the excellent DVIDA certification testing system.

Our unity with Wayne Eng (as per his permission) was a great success for Greece, as this system is used by many dance schools for professional examinations and amateur student medal tests. We feel delighted to be connected to DVIDA.

Sophisticats Social and Ballroom Dance Teachers Studio (SSBDTS) of Trinidad and Tobago has been using the Dance Vision Syllabus in many ways since 2010: We have revolutionized our Social Dance Programs using the Social Dance Syllabus and its many variations. Our Professional Examination Certification and Medal Test Certification Programs have been tremendously successful and continue to attract new candidates every year particularly for Teacher Training. There was no better program that could embody all the facets of dancing; in both its state of technical features, and visual perception. In Dance Vision, you can get acquainted with: the characters of dance, with basic figures on all levels and their connection in a choreographic production; as well as teaching methods.

To those who are considering using the Dance Vision program I would strongly advise you to move forward with that decision. As the dance faculty over the Ballroom Program at Brigham Young University – Idaho, I have been more than pleased with the Dance Vision system. We have used the program since its inception. The videos are well done and easy to use. The app is extremely useful. The staff are always helpful and patient. The Dance Vision program is the best one in the world that can be used by University Programs as well as used later by the ballroom pre-professionals in their own studios and programs. Many Syllabus systems once created never update. This is not the case with Dance Vision. The Program is on version two for some of the styles. Manuals were updated, steps lists improved upon and videos were developed based on these changes.

I have loved having and using the online Dance Vision syllabus and videos as I prepare students to dance and potentially have a career in dancesport. It has been a huge benefit for me and my students as we work through every part of the syllabus from the basic step patterns as they should be danced, to the more advanced technique suggestions given from the chosen professionals representing each style. I would suggest the Dance Vision system to all university programs because of how complete it feels and actually how unifying it could be in setting up a competitive program between all of our programs. I have owned my own studio at one time and to build and create a syllabus like this is very difficult and more time consuming than it is worth.
